The Nike Air Max Plus was designed by Sean McDowell and released in 1998. The shoe's unusual wavy upper, inspired by palm trees in the breeze, is made from welded TPU for light, flexible containment. Bold blue and orange coloring helps this model stand out, while classic Tuned Air cushioning ties the design to its technical heritage. Many visible Tuned Air units have been filled to specific, varying pressures to help reduce pronation, while aggressive tread adds traction.
