Japanese designer Takahiro Miyashita and Converse joined forces again in May 2019 to create TheSoloist x Jack Purcell Zip Ox 'Americana' low-top silhouette. The design was inspired by the grunge vibe of Seattle and Miyashita's intrigue with Kurt Cobain. Following suit, the striped canvas upper features red and white 'Americana' color blocking and swaps out traditional laces for a zip-up closure. The translucent rubber outsole reads, 'HELLO I AM THE SOLOIST HELLO! HELLO! HELLO?' to finalize the look.
