Originally debuting back in 1988 alongside its contemporary, the Air Mariah, the Nike Duelist arrived on the scene as a road racer. Engineered in the same vein as the Mariah, the Duelist used Phylon versus Air cushioning. The classic was revamped for the contemporary Duel Racer sneaker. Its three-tone knit upper is strengthened by a TPU heel cage and vamp overlays, a design element of the original. The silhouette is completed with a flexible thin web outsole.
