Inspired by the colorful culture of Mexican wrestling, the Nike women’s Blazer Mid ‘Lucha Libre’ makes use of a satiny woven upper in dark teal. Faux snakeskin paneling appears on the eyestay, forefoot and heel, while the retro leather Swoosh is rendered in a metallic gold finish — a nod to the flashy boots worn by luchadores during 1950s and ‘60s. Additional hits of gold land on Nike branding elements atop the woven tongue tag and snakeskin heel tab. The mid-top is mounted on a solid black vulcanized rubber midsole with a herringbone-traction outsole underfoot.
