The Superstar Retro '1986' was released in April 2019 as an acknowledgement of rap group Run DMC's impact on the style—an association ignited by the 1986 release of their track, 'My adidas.' This version features a white leather upper, black overlays and metallic gold details including oversized 'Superstar' lettering. As popularized by Run DMC, the shoe can be worn lace-free, or tied up with branded laces for a personalized fit. A rubber shell toe, cupsole and rubber tread complete the design.
