ASICS and longtime collaborator, Melbourne-based retailer Sneaker Freaker, joined forces to reimagine one of ASICS’ classic 90s runners, the Gel Lyte 3. Release in June 2019, the Sneaker Freaker x Gel Lyte 3 'Tiger Snake' is named as a nod to native reptiles from Australia as well as ASICS’ founding label, Onitsuka Tiger. The shoe's leather and nubuck upper is dressed in a sandy colored hue and comes cushioned with GEL technology for comfort.
