When Vans first debuted the Sk8-Hi in 1978, it was the brand’s first shoe ever to include leather panels on the upper, now known as the 'sidestripe.' In this 2017-released rendition—cloaked in a Dress Blues and Scarab colorway—elements of the coveted shoe remain similar: a durable, premium upper, the trademarked sidestripe, ankle-padding for cushioning and support and a Waffle-inspired outsole to help promote traction.
