Taken from a capsule collection with Luke Meier’s menswear label, the OAMC x adidas Type 06 ‘Core Black’ combines retro-tech sensibilities with a modern sneaker aesthetic. Traditional laces are supplemented by a toggle cord lock to secure the upper, constructed from a blend of black textile with tonal overlays in nubuck, suede and leather. Nodding to the ZX franchise are a molded TPU heel counter and EVA midsole, the latter supported by adidas’ signature Torsion bar and an exaggerated rubber outsole.
