When the adult version of the Air Max 2015 GS came out, it represented another tech advancement for the original running shoe first introduced by Nike designer Tinker Hatfield in 1987. For runners who wanted a little less stretch but the same breathability of 2014's Flyknit upper, engineered mesh made the most sense.
