The Cortez is notably associated with the streets of Los Angeles, so Nike enlisted Mister Cartoon—a designer, tattoo artist and Los Angeles native—to create his own rendition of the classic runner. The Mister Cartoon x Cortez 'Obsidian' features premium denim and suede materials with a unique cross-stitch pattern on portions of the upper. The lace jewel is marked with ‘CTOONS’ lettering, while a custom Cortez script is embroidered on the tongue.
