To cater to a Basketball-mad Philippines market, Nike released the LeBron 14 ‘Agimat’ in 2017. Meaning “amulet” or “charm” in Filipino, an ‘Agimat’ is used in the practice of occult tradition in the country, magical acts that could be said to reflect the King’s otherworldly powers on the court. A year later, the theme was repeated on the LeBron Soldier 12. Along with a circular knit upper and Zoom Air cushioning, the shoe features custom detailing, including an insole inspired by the Philippines’ flag and metallic charms on the tongue.
