The J.Crew x New Balance 997H ‘Trek’ applies rich earth tones to a lightweight lifestyle runner based on the original 997, designed by Steven Smith and released in 1990. Cordura mesh in a dark teal hue is utilized on the upper, bolstered with a tonal suede saddle and a forefoot overlay in brown suede. Contrasting hits of color arrive via a purple molded heel clip and a teal leather ‘N’ logo outlined in orange. The sneaker sits atop a speckled off-white EVA midsole, reinforced by durable gum rubber under the forefoot and heel.
