Originally designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1993, the ASICS Gel Lyte 5 combines the innovative tech of its predecessors in a fashion-forward design. This 'Spring Pack - Black' rendition—surfacing in February 2019—arrives with a mixed material upper comprised of suede, nylon and mesh with a leather midfoot logo and reflective heel. Embroidered and debossed branding contrast the tongue and counter. A liquid-inspired graphic is placed on the shock-absorbing midsole.
