Released in April 2012, this Concepts x New Balance 999 takes inspiration from the OTB Abyss II Boot used by US Navy SEALs. Details borrowed from the tactical boot include stain-resistant microfiber suede, ballistic mesh and ultra-breathable nylon. The ‘N’ logo on the medial side is made with durable rubber, while the tag on the gusseted tongue is perforated with a Morse code encryption. A topographic-map design finishes the collar lining and footbed.
