The PUMA Suede Classic ‘Star Sapphire’ is designed in collaboration with the Black Fives Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and teaching the pre-NBA history of African Americans in basketball. The low-top makes use of a blue suede upper with a color-blocked chenille Formstrip in yellow, black and navy. Atop the yellow suede tongue, a stitched tag displays dual PUMA and Black Fives branding. ‘Make history now’ is scrawled on the off-white rubber midsole, reinforced underfoot by a gum rubber outsole.
