Recalling the OG colorway inspired by Japan's speeding bullet trains and the metal-on-metal aesthetic of mountain bikes, the Air Max 97 'Patent Leather' was released April 2018 in a shimmering silver colorway with reflective features. Also influencing the original Christian Tresser shoe was rippling water on a pond, recreated by the upper's wavy leather design lines. Under the foot, full-length Max Air cushioning promises a soft ride and lasting impact protection.
