The Air Max 1 'Big Proof' came out in black and blue over a cement-grey base, one of a number of colorways launched to honor the close friend of entertainer Eminem who passed away in 2006. After visiting the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield created the first running shoe with visible Air cushioning in 1987. Decades later, it remains an icon, serving as a template for artists to ply their craft, celebrate achievements and remember their loved ones.
