Alessi's kitchenware and home goods are grounded in principles of innovation, refinement and functionality. Imagined by French designer Philippe Starck while eating calamari on vacation in Italy, the original design for the Juicy Salif was drafted on the back of a napkin. Debuting in 1990 and recalling the anatomy of a squid, this iteration of the citrus juicer is crafted from cast and polished aluminum. Prized for its avant-garde shape, the Juicy Salif is considered one of the most influential items in the Alessi archive.
