The Nike Space Hippie 01 ‘Grey Volt’ is drawn from an exploratory footwear collection that utilizes ‘space junk’ — various scrap materials gathered from Nike factory floors. The engineered knit upper, constructed from recycled plastic water bottles, T-shirts and yarn scraps, sits on a Crater Foam midsole that combines standard foams with 15% Nike Grind rubber. A ZoomX foam insole is made with scraps left over from the production of the Vaporfly 4%.
