The Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Playground’ follows on the heels of the retailer’s Air Max Penny 1 collaboration from July 2022. Launching alongside an accompanying ‘Black’ colorway, this pair in ‘Sail’ pays homage to Penny Hardaway and his influential footwear line. The upper combines off-white leather with powder blue nubuck paneling. A jeweled 1 Cent logo adorns the tongue, while a reflective insert on the lateral collar features an embroidered Swoosh integrated into the Social Status logo. A cushy Phylon midsole packs encapsulated Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot and a visible Max Air unit in the heel. The kicks come packaged in Lil Penny toy-inspired special-edition shoe box.
