When adidas first released the adidas NMD in 2016, the sneaker was well received, as the silhouette’s modern looks and combination of Boost and Primeknit technology proved to be a hit. The brand’s NMD R2 ‘Collegiate Burgundy’ is a second, more streamlined iteration. While the Boost sole remains, the chunky midsole blocks from the first NMDs are gone, resulting in a streamlined presentation. Premium leather on the heel overlay and tongue branding add to the look.
