The adidas NMD_R1 ‘Black Vivid Red’ combines the classic NMD aesthetic with an earth-friendly build that reflects adidas’ commitment to ending plastic waste. White three-stripes adorn a black knit upper made with 50% recycled polyester and 50% recycled Parley Ocean Plastic, composed of upcycled plastic waste that’s intercepted from beaches and coastal communities before it can pollute the water. The sneaker rides on a Boost midsole with red EVA plugs embedded in the sidewall and a color-matched rubber outsole underfoot.
