The Mayumi Yamase x Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather ‘Earth Day’ delivers the Tokyo-based artist’s sustainable take on the sneaker icon. Inspired by her local green space (Yoyogi Park in Shibuya), Yamase applies mismatched accents that convey the feeling of natural elements. They take the form of hand-painted Swooshes and abstract figures, rendered in bright hues that add energy to an upper built with 50% recycled leather fiber. A translucent rubber cupsole packs a foam wedge and an Air-sole heel unit for lightweight cushioning.
