Inspired by the iconic Dinner Jacket created by Henry Poole in the 1800s, adidas enlists the tailor, along with London sneaker retailer size?, for the Henry Poole x size? x NMD XR1 sneaker. Released in summer 2017, the shoe features a textile upper dressed in the same ‘Midnight Blue’ hue that was used on the original garment. The lacing cage is upheld with grosgrain silk, a nod to dinner jacket lapels. The bespoke-inspired shoe is completed with a cushioned Boost midsole.
