Handcrafted at Hender Scheme’s studio in Tokyo, the Hender Scheme x NMD_R1 from adidas Originals brings the brands signature vachetta leather to the NMD silhouette. The sneakers' raw tan leather upper softens and develops a patina over time, and the leather soles are designed to be fully replaceable after several years of wear. The artisanal design also features debossed branding on the heel, pull tab, and leather toe counter. Released in September 2017 alongside Superstar and Micropacer models, the collection was limited to only 900 pairs.
