The Under Armour Embiid One ‘Draft Night’ takes inspiration from a ‘Please Stand By’ TV test screen, a playful nod to the viral tape-delay moment that captured an impassive Joel Embiid after he was selected by Philadelphia in the 2014 NBA Draft. Embiid’s debut signature shoe carries a white mesh upper with asymmetrical accents: the TPU support wing on the left shoe is finished in pink with yellow splatter, while the right features blue with yellow splatter. The pull tab displays a ‘3’ in a circle, symbolizing the ping pong ball that determined Embiid’s order in the draft.
