The CNCPTS x New Balance 997 Made in USA 'Montage' takes inspiration from the '90s grunge era that birthed the retro running shoe. The upper features suede construction along the forefoot and midfoot in two shades of grey, with solid black suede wrapping around the heel. 'New Balance Made in USA' appears on the exposed-foam tongue, while 'CNCPTS' is inscribed in red embroidery on the heel tab. A translucent 'N' logo adorns the quarter panel. The sneaker rides atop a pre-distressed ENCAP midsole, which combines lightweight EVA foam with a durable polyurethane rim.
