Streetwear retailer Bodega and Vans teamed up for this Mid Skool LX, which dropped in a 'Sub Rosa’ four-pack at ComplexCon in November 2017 with a custom box and calendar. ‘Sub Rosa’ is a latin phrase that translates as ‘under the rose,’ based on an ancient Greek myth in which Eros, the god of love, gave a rose to Harpocrates, the god of silence, secrets and confidentiality. This Mid Skool LX ‘Sub Rosa’ features a white upper with a rose-like red leather heel patch, a black rose-stem jazz-stripe, a black suede toe and a Cream-colored padded leather lining. The upper sits on a black vulcanized midsole with a checked rose motif and green foxing stripe.
