In 2017 Nike released the Nike Air VaporMax, the first shoe to create an entire sole of Air, free of any foam. A few months later, Nike unveiled another twist with the Nike Air VaporMax CS ‘Midnight Fog’ sneaker, which uses a green mesh to replace the usual Flyknit upper, which is wrapped with large, brown side panels that give off an iridescent glow in the dark. An olive green Swoosh is prominent on a black panel overlay, and the VaporMax sole comes in dark blue, with light blue sections reinforcing high-wear areas.
