The Air Max Plus GS 'Light Aqua' features a transitioning pastel colorway befitting its August 2018 summer release for kids. The original adult version was created in 1998 by Nike designer Sean McDowell, who took his affinity for the ocean and applied it to the sneaker's aesthetic. This is reflected by molded side strips for support inspired by swaying palm trees on the beach, and a midfoot arch support plate mimicking the shape of a whale's tail.
