Nike's Air Max 90 Ultra SE is a more lightweight, breathable version of the Tinker Hatfield creation, which first debuted in 1990. A primarily black upper comes with a molded foam base, ample ventilation perforations and leather and plastic overlays. The cored-out foam midsole also acts as an outsole, allowing for a more lightweight step without sacrificing cushion. The AM90's customary visible Max Air unit remains.
