The Nike Air Kukini ‘Pixel’ brings back the retro 1999 model in a unique design that pays homage to vintage video games. A multicolor pixelated graphic embellishes the stretchy textile upper, fortified with black leather overlays at the forefoot and heel. In lieu of traditional laces, the slip-on is secured with a webbed support system in glow-in-the-dark TPU. A Nike wordmark appears on the vamp, while the lateral heel is stamped with a row of five dots — a nod to the Alpha Project, Nike’s defunct innovation program. The off-white foam midsole packs a visible Max Air unit in the heel for a cushioned ride.
