Taken from a mountaineering-inspired capsule collection, the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainier ‘Charcoal’ delivers Teddy Santis’ take on the hiking boot worn by Lou Whittaker when he summited Mount Everest in 1982. A D-ring lacing system secures the upper, featuring a navy Cordura foundation with grey suede overlays and a waterproof Gore-Tex lining. A dual-branded leather tag decorates the tongue, while a Flying NB logo is stamped on the saddle. Anchoring the lace-up is a black EVA midsole and a lugged Vibram outsole.
