The Nike Free Metcon 4 ‘University Blue’ showcases a vibrant finish on a training shoe that takes its cues from the classic Air Huarache from 1991. Like the older shoe, this pair makes use of a stretchy neoprene collar with an elastic heel strap in lieu of a standard heel counter. The rest of the upper is constructed from breathable chain-link mesh with an integrated lacing system for a lockdown fit. The foam midsole combines flexible Nike Free technology in the forefoot with the Metcon’s signature wide, flat heel, good for a stable platform during weighted workouts.
