The 2022 edition of the Nike Air Trainer 1 ‘Chlorophyll’ brings back a vintage performance silhouette from 1987, envisaged by Tinker Hatfield as a multi-purpose trainer that could be used for running, lifting weights, or playing tennis (as demonstrated by John McEnroe a year before the shoe’s official launch). Along with traditional laces, an adjustable midfoot strap secures the white leather upper, featuring grey nubuck overlays and a black leather Swoosh. The shoe’s titular hue appears on branding elements that include an embroidered Nike Air logo on the heel.
