A trademark design element of the classic Vans Old Skool sneaker, Paul Van Doren drew what he referred to as the ‘jazz stripe,’ which eventually became the sidestripe. The Old Skool S 'Syndicate' sneaker reimagined the icon with updated style elements, donning an all-suede upper covered in a tonal checkerboard finish, replacing its trademark canvas and leather.
