Influential tattoo and graffiti artist Mark ‘Cartoon’ Machado, renowned for his fine line style, began collaborating with Nike in the mid-2000s on a series of Air Force 1 designs inspired by the city of Los Angeles. This 2017 Mister Cartoon x Cortez 'White Gum' features a white leather upper with an embroidered fine line-style cursive ‘Cortez’ on the side walls. Color arrives via a red Nike flag and gold upper eyelets, and the shoe also comes with a commemorative 45th anniversary tag on the tongue and a custom CTOONS lace deubré. A gum rubber outsole provides traction.
