Southern California retailer BAIT teams up with adidas on a special-edition Nizza High inspired by ‘Initial D,’ the Japanese street racing manga that originally launched in 1995. Taking its cues from the Toyota AE86 driven by main protagonist Takumi Fujiwara, the vintage hoops shoe utilizes a pristine white canvas upper with a rubberized toe cap and suede heel overlay. Branding elements include the Initial D logo on the lateral ankle and a BAIT wordmark on the contrasting black heel strip. Tire-tread bumpers reinforce the white rubber midsole, featuring ‘Fujiwara Tofu Shop’ in Japanese lettering and a black oversized heel tab that replicates the look of a Japanese license plate.
