A Bathing Ape began in 1993, founded by Japanese street fashion taste-maker, Nigo, in Tokyo's Harajuku district. The Bapesta FS-001 launched in 2002 with a familiar design, clearly influenced by Nike's Air Force 1. The Bapesta FS-001 Low 'Grey Olive Green' color blocks the glossy patent upper in shades of green, adding perforations to the toe box to help promote airflow. A sturdy cupsole construction rides below with 'Ape' branding and a green outsole.
