In 2016, Nike Sportswear introduced the Nike Air Max 1 CX ‘Color Change.’ It features sun-sensitive materials on the Sail mudguard and Swoosh that change them to a Game Royal blue under direct sunlight, transforming the shoe into a colorway reminiscent of the blue OG Air Max 1 colorway. The classic runner also comes with Wolf Grey suede and white mesh panels and features a Wolf Grey Air Max unit in the heel.
