Designed by Tinker Hatfield and Tom Luedecke, the Air Jordan 2011 introduced the line’s first interchangeable midsole: a blue Zoom Air unit for quickness or red Encapsulated Air cushioning for explosiveness. The Air Jordan 2011 ‘NBA All Star West' was released ahead of the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. Featuring a textured Team Red and white upper, a mesh application is used on the ankle and tongue. A crisp white midsole gives way to an icy translucent outsole underfoot.
