The Nike Special Field Air Force 1 ‘String’ released alongside the 'Black Gum' in January of 2017. The military-inspired high-top design features a cream/Off-White suede and ballistic nylon upper along with a hidden espionage pocket, and paracord dual ankle straps. The contrasting sole unit combines a gum rubber outsole with an Off-White midsole.
