Capcom and ASICS honored their shared Japanese heritage with a collection inspired by Mega Man launched in November 2019. The Gel BND sneaker references Rockman—the titular character's Japanese name—in blue synthetic patent leather with pixelated stripes as a nod to the original 1987 video game. Katakana symbols brand the left shoe's tongue and a text graphic appears on heel. Its Gel-cushioned midsole and rubber outsole nod to the robot's metal feet.
