Honoring great American novels, New Balance revealed the 'Distinct Authors' collection which included this August 2014 997 model. The luxe running shoe is complete with a premium brown suede upper with nubuck overlays. Black leather accents amp up the fashion-forward design while branding details hit the tongue, heel and signature 'N' logo on the sidewall. Giving the shoe a technical upgrade, the IMEVA midsole is an injection-molded foam built to withstand the miles and deliver responsiveness below.
