As part of its Air Max Day 2018 celebration, Nike brought back the Air Max 180 in a big way. Three special-edition colorways were inspired by a trio of artists who contributed to the Air Max 180 marketing campaign upon its original launch in 1991. This pair pays homage to Italian visual artist Marcello Morandini, using a design that combines a black mesh and leather base with mismatched aglets and various pops of color on the Swoosh, heel, and midsole. The release was available exclusively to NikePlus members in North America, who had the option to customize three characters under the heel Swoosh.
