Rap music and fashion have been braided since hip-hop’s inception. From Wu-Tang Clan’s Ralph Lauren Snow Beach jackets to Playboi Carti draped in pitch-black experimental silhouettes, how a rapper dresses and why they wear what they wear is nearly as important as what they decide to rap about.

Styles change over time. Fads come and go. Yet always, there are a select few who can cut straight through the zeitgeist. Artists whose aesthetic vision and uncompromising attitude leave an impact across culture. Artists like Pusha T.

Since the early 2000s, T has been at the top of the rap game, known for capturing the raw intensity of life on Virginia’s sweltering streets. We’re talking five Grammy nominations and a number one on the Billboard 200. He also released, arguably, the greatest, most ill-mannered diss track of all time, “The Story of Adidon,” making him as feared as he is lauded.

At Governors Ball in 2018, Pusha T stepped on to the stage in this maximalist Prada shirt that the New Yorker Magazine later dubbed "performance art."

The silhouette of a bomber is timeless. The uniformity of it just commands respect. That’s why I own every bomber jacket.

Comprised of Pusha T and his brother Malice, Clipse emerged in the mid ’90s as an influential voice in Virginia Beach hip-hop.

During those My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sessions, there was heavy, heavy pressure to be fresh. To do that, I knew I needed to get in touch with Marcus.
