For FW16, Raf Simons explored themes rooted in the contradictions of American youth, its optimism and anxiety, rebellion and conformity. An off-kilter interpretation of “The Boy Scout” was a key show archetype, reflected in tattered, uniform-inspired silhouettes with badges and patches. This oversized vest channels the complex characters at the heart of Simons' vision, intentionally frayed and deconstructed for a rebellious aesthetic.
