Nike Foamposite One 'Sharpie'
During the 1996-1997 season, the NBA told Penny Hardaway that his OG Royal Foamposite Ones violated the NBA’s uniform code because they didn’t have enough black to match his Orlando Magic uniform. Hardaway’s solution was to grab a Sharpie and color black stripes into the upper. The 2015 Nike Foamposite One ‘Sharpie' recreates Hardaway’s DIY look with its Varsity Royal upper accented with black stripes in the ridges of the Foamposite shell. It also comes with black nubuck on the eyestay and heel, a black carbon-fiber shank and an icy blue translucent outsole.
