The Qixi Festival is a Chinese festival that’s similar to Valentine’s Day and celebrates the myth of the cowherd and weaver girl. To commemorate the occasion, Nike prepared the Cortez silhouette with a series of romantic motifs throughout the upper, which appears in a galaxy print. Featuring a men’s and women’s rendition, the men’s outsole is stamped with the phrase ‘TODAY IS,’ while the women’s iteration features the words ‘THE DAY’ to represent the tradition’s symbolism of love.
