Nike explores the Air Max 90 Premium's long-standing connection to music, using the history of sampling—the bedrock of hip hop—as inspiration. Emerged in June 2019, this 'Mixtape Side B' edition incorporates nine distinct elements extracted from past versions of the AM90, including a mesh toe box, 'Untold Truth' stitching on the heel and ostrich leather Swooshes. The laces mimic cartridge tape. Under the Max Air-enhanced sole, a track list of some of the details is revealed through the translucent outsole.
